Aldi Best Vegan Christmas Finds
This year is my first vegan Christmas! I feel like there are much more options for vegans this Christmas but maybe that’s just because I’m actively looking for them this year. I’m actually really excited to try some new foods. Yes, I will have to forego the usual treats such as the Ferrero Rochers I have had in my stocking every single year, but there’s loads of alternatives and I don’t think I’m going to miss anything! I thought I’d do a guide to supermarket vegan choices so this week I’ll start with Aldi best vegan Christmas finds. I have provided links and prices where possible and please remember to check ingredients yourself before buying as ingredients can change.
Moo Free chocolate is available in many supermarkets but I rarely see them in Aldi. This one is £3 and has cute animals on the front. What’s not to love? There’s also a Moo Free selection box.
Basically chocolate Pringles right? A good alternative to After Eights (another good alternative is Elizabeth Shaw mint crisps or cremes). £1.29 a pack.
This pack of 12 includes Szechuan Windmills, Sweet Chinese-style Barbecue Crackers and Black Bean Clovers and cost £1.99. Perfect for a buffet and everyone will like them.
Dark Chocolate Lebkuchen Heats
These biscuits have an apricot filling and are covered in dark chocolate. Probably hard not to eat the whole bag in one.
Spiced Christmas Biscuits
Staying on the biscuit theme these cute biscuits are accidentally vegan too! I believe they are Speculoos (I’ve just googled it but the more I read it the more it looks like I made up the word so I’ll just leave it there).
You can choose between strawberry, orange, violet and rose and they come in a nice little box. They’d make a lovely little stocking filler for a chocolate lover like me. Strawberry please!
Other things I live from Aldi which are vegan and might make nice Christmas treats and snacks are their Oreos, many of the Moser Roth dark chocolate bars, hummus, falafel, certain crackers and crisps (bacon rasher, yum!) and I believe they had some Turkish delight last time I went in and not only did they have rose, they had a different flavour I can’t remember but I know it looked really nice (I hate rose flavour so I’m pretty annoyed I forgot the other flavour). They usually do marzipan chocolates at Christmas so I’m hoping they’ll have them this year too as marzipan is a favourite of mine!
