Chocolate Orange and Cranberry Vegan Tiffin
Ad – Some of the products in this post were gifted to me by Whitworths but I was not required to post about them. All opinions are my own. Whitworths challenged me to put a modern twist on their original tiffin recipe for Easter. I love ‘veganising’ things and I like to try and show how easy it is if you just know a few little tricks and tips! This chocolate, orange and cranberry vegan tiffin is perfect as an Easter treat and is great fun for kids to help make as it does’t involve any baking.
Their original recipe uses ginger nut biscuits but I’m not a big fan of them so I swapped them for chocolate orange cream biscuits which I found in Home Bargains and are accidentally vegan. If you can not find chocolate orange biscuits you can just use chocolate biscuits such as bourbon cream biscuits or Oreos. I then topped it with cranberries and a chopped up orange cream chocolate bar which was also in Home Bargains although you could use any vegan chocolate Orange bar (I especially like the one by Morrisons that contains little candied Orange pieces).
You could add any topping to the tiffin bars. As well as the chocolate Orange bar I added some dr Oetker unicorn mix sprinkles as they are vegan and add a lovely bit of colour. Some other things you could add are candied Orange pieces, flaked almonds or orange sprinkles.
You can swap out the dried fruit for different dried fruit as long as you swap it for the same weight.
I was sent some of these products by Whitworths but was not required to write about them on Sweet Pea’s.
