Custard Cream Bars
If you love no-bake desserts that are as easy to make as they are delicious to eat, then these Custard Cream Bars are about to become your new favorite treat. Combining the buttery, vanilla goodness of custard cream biscuits with the gooey sweetness of melted marshmallows, this recipe is a delightful twist on classic dessert bars. Perfect for parties, picnics, or a cozy afternoon indulgence, these bars deliver all the nostalgia of childhood snacks with a touch of sophistication.
The magic begins with custard cream biscuits—a classic biscuit beloved for its creamy vanilla filling and crunchy exterior. When combined with melted marshmallows, they transform into a chewy, buttery bar that is equal parts sweet and satisfying. The texture is reminiscent of crispy rice treats, but with a finer crumb and a creamier, more indulgent flavour profile thanks to the custard creams.
If you are not in the UK or a country where it is easy to buy custard cream biscuits you could use golden Oreos instead.
What makes this recipe even better is its simplicity. With just a handful of ingredients and no oven required, you can whip up a batch of these bars in no time. They’re perfect for when you need a dessert that’s impressive yet low effort, or when you’re looking for a fun activity to do with kids. We will add grace cherries into the mix before shaping for extra texture and a pop of colour. I have topped these with a drizzle of white chocolate and some sprinkles to top it off.
Whether you’re satisfying a sweet tooth or creating a quick treat for loved ones, these Custard Cream Bars are a must-try. Let’s get started!
