2015 Gingerbread Creation
Last year I posted the recipe I use to make our 2015 Christmas gingerbread creation with photos of the three previous creations. Each year Billy and I make a different ‘thing’ out of gingerbread. It’s a tradition that started when we were both at university when we owned no baking equipment and now we do it every year (hopefully improving our skills each year too). So far we’ve made a traditional gingerbread house with festive sprinkle decorations, a carousel with snowmen instead of horses because we didn’t have a horse shaped cookie cutter and last year a TARDIS. Click here to find the recipe and photos of those if you’d like to see them.
Since the recipe is already on here I thought I’d just post a few photo’s of the 2015 gingerbread creation, the ‘Nantwich gingerbread house’. I moved to Nantwich a year ago and it’s such a beautiful place with a mix of buildings but the most well known are it’s black and white timber framed buildings. Many of them burnt down in the great fire of Nantwich which destroyed most of the town tout they’d ere rebuilt. One of the oldest buildings in Nantwich apart from the church is Churches Mansion. It is a black and white timber frames building just like our gingerbread version!
