Miss Marmalades Nantwich
Miss Marmalades opened in Nantwich in March. I walk past it every day to go to work and I’ve been meaning to visit for a long time. I FINALLY got round to it a few weekends ago.
It always looks really busy in there so we got there just after it opened for the day and there were already plenty of people in there. They specialise in freakshakes which was the main reason I was there but they also do sandwiches and toasties among other things.
They have a selection of freakshakes from mint Oreo to cookie and they also do a weekly special. This weeks special was M&Ms which is what I went for. Billy ordered a sweet toastie with Nutella in the middle. We also had a jug of water with fruit in which was a nice touch. They even have a bar and can do tipsy milkshakes or hot chocolate later in the day!
It’s not really the place to go if you’re in a rush but we were told when we were seated that there would be a bit of a wait and we didn’t mind. There’s plenty to look at while you’re waiting. The whole place is full of curiosities from a vintage tennis racket to a scooter and there’s also vintage clothes to browse upstairs!
My freak shake arrived first and I set my self the challenge to eat it all despite it being massive. It was a Nutella milkshake with a donut on top with cream and a M&M biscuit bar and a mix of M&Ms. They even had personalised M&Ms! Billy’s Nutella toastie looked really yummy too and had a big scoop of ice cream with it.
I did myself proud and finished the whole thing but I didn’t manage to eat anything else that day until late in the evening. The staff were really friendly and I’ll definitely be going back to try a different freakshake. There’s a strawberry one with a slice of cake on that’s got me written all over it!
