When I was looking for Doctor Who themed recipes for this months theme I came across these and HAD to make them. Cassandra first appears in the second episode of series 1 and she’s basically a piece of skin stretched on a frame. Hopefully that hasn’t put you off making these Cassandra cookies as they’re actually quite yummy!

Step 1
Mark as Complete

Cream the butter and sugar together until pale and smooth then beat in the egg and vanilla extract. Stir in the dry ingredients. Roll into a ball, wrap in clingfilm and chill for 1 hour.

Step 2
Mark as Complete

Preheat the oven to 180/160ºc fan. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about half a centimetre thick. Use a knife to cut out a Cassandra shape (following the photo above). Place on a greased baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool.

Step 3
Mark as Complete

Use the red icing pen to draw on lips and the black for eyes.
