Millie’s Style Cookies
Gooey Millie's style cookies
Ingredients
- 125g Unsalted Butter
- 100g Light Brown Sugar
- 125g Caster Sugar
- 1 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 225g Self Raising Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 200g Chocolate Chips
Directions
I’ve always wanted to perfect cookies but have never managed it. A few weeks ago I tried Pizza Hut’s cookie dough which was amazing and that inspired me to try again. I think i’ve always left them in the oven for too long and then they become rock hard. This time I decided to trust the recipes timings. This recipe is for Millie’s style cookies so they turn out gooey in the middle.
They taste great warm but keep well (if you have any left that is!) You could swap the chocolate chips for so many things. Try white chocolate chips or nuts and raisins.
Preheat the oven to 180ºc. Cream the butter and sugars, then add the egg and vanilla extract. Sift in the flour and salt and mix. Now add the chocolate chips.
For a homemade look roll into walnut size balls. Alternatively, roll into a long thick sausage shape and slice into discs. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 7-10 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
