Spooky Eyeball Cake Pops
Eyeball cake pops taste much better than they look!
- 100g White Chocolate
- 100g Milk Chocolate
- 360g Ready Made Cake
- Blue, green, red and black Icing Pens
I’ve seen so many great baking ideas for Halloween this year. I love browsing Pinterest for seasonal ideas. I wanted to do something quite creative and a bit different to the usual cake based baking I have been doing lately. When I came across these little eyeball cake pops I decided to make them. You can pile them on a plate staring up at you, perfect for a creepy Halloween party. They’re also really fun and pretty easy to make!
Make the cake into crumbs either by using a food processor of a fork. Melt the chocolate (short bursts in a microwave is easiest), pour half into the cake crumbs and mix.
Add the rest of the chocolate little by little until you can mould the mix with your hands (be careful, it might be hot). Roll the cake into small balls and put in the fridge for 30 minutes to cool.
Melt the white chocolate and use a fork to roll the cake pops in it to completely cover them. Return to the fridge for a further 30 minutes
Draw a blue or green circle on each eyeball for the iris and add a black dot for the pupil. Use the red pen to draw veins around the iris like in the photo at the top of the page.
