- 25g Unsalted Butter
- 15g Caster Sugar
- 70g Strawberries
- 4 tbsp plus extra for glazing Milk
Directions
Friday 30th June is National Cream Tea Day! Now clearly you need scones for a cream tea but that doesn’t mean you have to stick to your average plain or dried fruit scone. These strawberry scones have a light strawberry flavour which really compliments strawberry jam and cream.
So get a pot of tea brewing, grab the jam and clotted cream (jam first OBVIOUSLY) and try these strawberry scones.

Preheat the oven to 220/200ºc and line a baking tray with baking paper. Rub the butter, flour and baking powder together in a bowl until it looks like fine breadcrumbs.
Stir in the strawberries and sugar. Add enough milk to form a soft dough and tip out onto a floured surface. Divide into four and shape each one into scone shapes. place on the baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes. serve with jam and clotted cream.
