My Top 10 Favourite Foods
Ok so I’ll probably think of more foods I’d consider as ‘favourites’ as soon as I post this but these are my top 10 foods that I can think of right now. This isn’t in any order, mainly because I couldn’t decided whether chocolate or coconut were my favourite food or where tea should come on the list.
My Absolute Favourite Foods –
I love coconut anything except for coconut water. Coconut milk, yoghurt, rice, chocolate bars, cake. I’ve recently rediscovered coconut macaroons with the rice paper underneath and jam in the middle from my childhood.
When I was at uni in London, whenever I went home for the weekend we’d go to the chippy as soon as I arrived. Usually accompanied by fish or a battered sausage. Curry sauce is a must.
When I was little we used to go on holiday to Weymouth and I’d always have tuna nachos at a place by the harbour. Now my favourite are the cheesy pulled pork nachos from Street in Nantwich.
Again, I love anything chocolate apart from those Lindt ones that taste like butter (why does anyone like them?). I think my favourite is Ferrero Rochers (Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without them in my stocking) and Cadbury Whole Nut. If you give me chocolate I’m a happy girl.
And when I say veggie burgers I mean anything from spicy bean burgers (Aldi’s are great) to nut cutlets. I do like normal beef burgers but more often than not I’ll go for something vegetarian.
Since I started working in the coffee lounge at work where we serve toasties, I’ve become a little bit addicted to them. Usually just cheese. Maybe a bit of onion or ham if I’m feeling adventurous but you don’t want to tamper with a cheese toastie too much!
OK so I’ve had to come back to change this post because I have a new favourite – Peanut Butter! I love it. I could eat it with a spoon but I also love it with banana, on toast, on porridge etc.
OK so it’s not really food but it’s got to be in here somewhere. I’m not a big fan of fruit or herbal tea so it’s usually English Breakfast Tea for me. Strong and milky. No sugar (I’ve slowly gone down from 2 to none, I have enough sugar as it is). I also like ‘Lift’ instant peach tea which is nice hot but really refreshing cold too, just like iced tea.
Last but not least is Wensleydale cheese. Especially those packs with cranberries in.
